It is a tough little boat and can be purchased quite cheaply and herein lies the problem. The standard class legal equipment is expensive to buy and can add up to more than the value of a second hand boat. Barton Marine have considered the options and can now offer very price competitive upgrade options without loss of performance to both young and old club sailors who do not take part in Laser association events.
During the development, they were lucky to have top Master&s sailor Charles Campion to bounce ideas off and to try out various options. They also kitted out 12 youth boats to properly evaluate the specifications; all the products were thoroughly tried and tested throughout last season.
There are 5 sail control kits available:
98075 15 to 1 Kicker set complete
98076 4 to 1 Outhaul set complete
98078 K cam cleat base plate set
