The Ruddersafe for Volvo 280/290 Stern Drives.
For all other sterndrives see the notes below and then chose the the Outboard
Ruddersafe if suitable.

Quickly and easily add this device to achieve optimum manoeuvrability and greatly
improved directional stability at low speeds.

At last there is a definitive, effective solution to the well known problem of poor manoeuvrability
at low speeds that affects most outboard powered boats.

With Ruddersafe you do not need to make constant directional adjustments at low speeds, which
makes cruising more pleasant and relaxed. At high speeds the pressure on the two trim planes lifts
the two rudderblades out of the water, thus avoiding oversteer and loss of speed.

An automatic spring mechanism returns the dual rudder to its original position as soon as the speed
and water pressure have reduced.

Available in 3 sizes:
Type 2 for boats up to approx. 21ft 6.5m
Type 3 for boats up to approx. 28ft 8.5m
Type 4 for boats over 28ft 8.5m

NOTE.
For Volvo Penta 280/290 sterndrives please use these Volvo Penta Ruddersafe's and for all other
sterndrives the Outboard Ruddersafe will fit as long as the anti cavitation plate is no thicker than 8mm
and no wider than 260mm, this includes Mercruiser and OMC drives.

There are no Ruddersafe's made for the DuoProp models as the aft Propellor projects too far beyond the anti cavitation plate.
